Polynesian music w/Island Time II

Wear your island attire and bring the family to an evening of music and dance from the authentic traditions of the pacific islands. If you cannot go to the tropics, visit the Library's Viridian Event Center for the next best thing, music and dance under the summer stars. Island Time II Band plays a variety of music but with an authentic Polynesian vibe. The band started in Gardena and Carson California and has performed throughout the United States and Canada including involvement with the Polynesian Cultural Center, International Market Place, Duke Kahanamoku’s and Don the Beachcomber’s. Island Time II has been involved in many cultural celebrations, and leader Frank Fau’olo has been a judge for the World Fireknife Competition in Laie Hawaii since 2002.

These free, monthly concerts are presented by the Library's Viridian Event Center and Excellence in the Community. Concerts are held the second Saturday of each month and feature artists local to Utah based on the premise that Utah’s best musicians and dancers represent a powerful resource for bringing people together and enhancing communities.
